Unique Custom-Tailored Solutions

The everyday prosthesis can do so much for you. There are times when a prosthesis has to be customized and designed for a specific activity. Can you run with your everyday leg? Sure, but not comfortably or for very long. If you want to train at a high level, you will need a running leg.  If you find yourself in water a lot, you might need a prosthesis built for that. How about skiing? Or rock climbing? SCUBA diving, anyone? These are some of the types of legs we have built for amputees to really get after it and back into a loved activity, or maybe they discovered a new activity.

Our favorite way to get you going.

Let’s get that paperwork squared away. Then, how about you come and see us in the morning, and we will cast and measure your limb. Then you go to lunch, and we go to work in our state-of-the-art lab.  We create a robust trial socket.  We attach your components to the trial socket, and you come back in the afternoon to walk in the new prosthesis. 9 times out of 10, this trial prosthesis will allow you to begin training with a PT if you are new at this, or take it home and see how it performs in your own environment. This is a crucial and necessary step to crafting a well-fit and well-aligned prosthesis.

Once we are all happy with the result, your final socket will be made.  It will be custom and personalized, handcrafted to the highest standards.
